- Magazines and advertisements in newspapers make you want to buy certain make-up as they promise to give you glowing skin with a healthy glow, and made out of pure products. But do not buy yet, do further research and get more information on the product.
- While watching television, advertisements come up showing various cosmetics products that give you young glowing skin and manufacturers spend a lot of time trying to convince you to buy their various products through television advertisements but you are not sure whether they are telling you or giving you the correct information. Do not rush out to buy that product without getting to know all the facts about it.
- Companies hire celebrities to advertise their products and create a hype, which makes people think that if celebrities are using the same product, surely it must be good. But don’t get taken in by it, cause the facts might not be all true.
- What is a better way to sample a product before you buy it. The best way to find out if you are hypoallergenic to a product is to try it out by testing it on your skin. Do a patch test on a small part of the skin so if irritation does occur, then it will only affect a smart part of your skin.
- When the label says or suggests that it is made up of natural ingredients, it might be that part of it is natural along with synthetic properties, do not believe in what the label says.
- When a product says it is hypoallergenic, it doesn’t mean that it won’t cause allergic reactions. There are no standards defining hypoallergenic. It means that this product is likely to cause less allergies.
- You have to be careful of products which say that it is 95% or 90% higher in organic or some other natural products. According to experts, it is impossible for any product to be more than 30-40% organic, unless it is organic oil. Because it is mostly water-based and water is not organic.
- Don’t base your decision by the pretty label and the way the decoration is done on it. What the label does not say is about the safety and health ingredients that is present in the product. So do not buy according to the label.
- What is the most important thing is that you read what ingredients are put in the product. This is what the manufacturer doesn’t want you to read and know, that is why the ingredients are written in tiny fonts that you need a magnifying glass to read it. But make sure you know what is used for that particular product.
- Because of consumer awareness, the manufacturers do not list all the products that are used for that product, only the healthy and known herbal ingredients. So go for products that have all the ingredients labeled.
